Lady Gaga x Marc Jacobs Cover V Magazine

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

For the New York Issue of V Magazine, fashion designer Marc Jacobs and Lady Gaga who poses as Lady Liberty, are selected for the cover. Check out what the Editor of V Mag, Stephan Gan said of Gaga:

“Just as the Statue of Liberty was France’s gift to America, Gaga is, to us, New York’s greatest gift to pop culture and fashion. She embodies everything V is about, and is also a beacon of the city’s creativity and hope. Exactly one year after her first V cover (the first fashion magazine cover she was on), we decided to do the NEW YORK issue, and she was the first person who came to mind to represent our great city. In the year that’s passed, she has become a bonafide genius and we can safely declare her our muse. Above all, a New York issue should celebrate people who’ve done great things. We at V are grateful Gaga came along to put the New back in New York!”

Video: Lady Gaga x Beyonce – Telephone

Friday, March 12th, 2010

Lady Gaga and Beyonce play Thelma & Louise type characters in this 10-minute long video for “Telephone.” I can say this is easily the most random video ever, it looks like a Quentin Tarantino movie on drugs. The video was directed by Jonas Akerland who directed her previous video “Paparazzi.”

“Lady Gaga, Eminem, Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake and Barbra Streisand are just a handful of the 100-plus stars scheduled to take part in a re-recording of “We Are the World” to benefit Haiti, producer RedOne told Rolling Stone yesterday at the Grammys. Other artists contributing to the new “We Are the World” — a remake of the 1985 USA for Africa charity single that was co-written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie — include Celine Dion, Fergie, Wyclef, Enrique Iglesias and more musicians who attended yesterday’s 52nd Annual Grammy Awards.

According to RedOne, recording of the “We Are the World” remake will take place today in a Los Angeles studio. In addition to the all-star vocal talent, RedOne promises instrumentation from the likes of Orianthi (the guitarist for Michael Jackson’s This Is It show) and other big-name musicians. The AP reports Bono, Jason Mraz and Akon are also slated to appear on the track.

During her performance of “Poker Face” at the 12/29/09 concert in Atlanta, GA, Lady Gaga was hit upside the head with a bouquet of flowers from an overexcited fan. @ 1:04 mark

I think Beyonce would of stopped the show and went Kid Cudi on somebody (click here).
