For the New York Issue of V Magazine, fashion designer Marc Jacobs and Lady Gaga who poses as Lady Liberty, are selected for the cover. Check out what the Editor of V Mag, Stephan Gan said of Gaga:
“Just as the Statue of Liberty was France’s gift to America, Gaga is, to us, New York’s greatest gift to pop culture and fashion. She embodies everything V is about, and is also a beacon of the city’s creativity and hope. Exactly one year after her first V cover (the first fashion magazine cover she was on), we decided to do the NEW YORK issue, and she was the first person who came to mind to represent our great city. In the year that’s passed, she has become a bonafide genius and we can safely declare her our muse. Above all, a New York issue should celebrate people who’ve done great things. We at V are grateful Gaga came along to put the New back in New York!”
“Restaurant, cinema, on the hood of the car,” are a couple of the unsual places Trey likes his girls to get freaky at. His long-time friend Drake lends a hand with some witty lines, “you can come to my city I’ll take you all over/ and hit you on the balcony, just don’t fall over.” Make sure you pick up a copy of Passion Pain & Pleasure in stores September 14th.
I could of put the names ”Pitbull and T-Pain” and no song title, and I think half of you could of guessed the name of the song just from it coming from these two. Obviously this is a club song , Pit is still sticking to what works for him, electronic sounds and dance drums, but this record forces T-Pain to switch up the style on this hook. Check it out now, because you will be hearing it in every club sooner or later. PlanetPit in stores soon.
Although I’m dissappointed in that word that I despise in the song title, the song isn’t anything corny. Off topic, I remember the days when Rick Ross and T.I. were beefing, good to see them making great music together.
With all the buzz about Wiz Khalifahe finally releases his first major single from his upcoming debut album due out 2011. If you haven’t heard, Drake offered him a spot on his “Lights Dreams and Nightmares” tour which Wiz was honored by, but politely declined. I’ve seen some comments from people thinking he’s stupid for that, but I understand he’s trying to rise to the top on his own by taking the high road, after all look what it did for Drake. With that said, check out the Pittsburgh artists single reppin’ for his home teams colors, the “Pirates, although most would say the Pittsburgh Steelers are the same color.
Few days ago the Raekwon, Justin Bieber, and Kanye West collaboration released, now “The Chef” makes another rnb appearance through this Faith Evans song. Is Rae the new Ghostface? Doubt it. Be on the look out for her forthcoming album Something About Faith.
From R. Kelly’supcoming Letters EP. What’s with everyone releasing EP’s this year? Kelly, Nina Sky, Usher, Teairra Mari, and more, supposedly Jay-Z and Kanye are planning a 5-track EP also.
This song is pretty gangsta, I kind of dig this although Swedish pop isn’t my cup of tea. Robyn boasts on how you, nor the FBI, Vatican, Russians, CIA etc should fuck with her, over a synthesized upbeat record with Snoop. This song can is from her Body Talk Pt. 2 album which is due out in the states September 7th.
